Flannery

This is Flannery, Aerial's love interest. Aerial meets him when she gets separated from Milton and Feng Ra, and it's instant...awkwardness. Poor Flann tries so hard to play it cool, but he can't change the fact that he's an utter dork.

Flannery was born and raised on the small island of Kernn, a decidedly Irish-esque country (hence Flann's name). He has three siblings: two older brothers named Aidan and Cormac, and a younger sister named Fiona. Aidan works on their parents' farm and Cormac is serving in the Kernn military in Castelia. Flann worked on the farm when he was young, but after an accident that left Fiona blind, his mother charged him with keeping his little sister out of trouble. Because of this, Flannery and Fiona are very close, and one is rarely seen without the other.

Quick geography lesson: There are four main countries in the Castelian world, and they are commonly referred to as North, South, East, and West. Castelia is South, Xhu'we is North, Kernn is West, and East is the lost state of Draecosta (the whole country supposedly disappeared when the Dragons left it to inhabit Castelia instead). Castelia is the largest of the three remaining countries (and the Castelian Empress Gwinn Ironbeak is determined to add Kernn to her empire).
