The Originals

Squirtle is goofing off, Pikachu is annoyed, Bulbasaur wants the tiny turtle off his head, and Charmander is...daydreaming, I guess. XD Bulbasaur has always been one of my favourite Pokemon to draw, and I've done myself proud with this particular seed Pokemon.

The classics, man. I miss the good old days of RedBlueYellow, AshMistyBrock, and BulbasaurCharmanderSquirtle. Those were the days, my friend. I'm as excited as the next guy for Black and White, but you just can't replace a monochrome Kanto and the original one-fifty. (Don't even get me started on how much better the show was!)

You know, I never really liked Squirtle as a starter. He's a cute little bugger, and Wartortle is one of my favourite Water types as far as looks go, but I just never appreciated Blastoise like I should have. Don't know why. But as far as the others go, the whole Charmander family is awesome, the Bulbasaur line is still one of my favourite Grass types to have (if not to use, due of a lack of moves that fit my tastes, but that's most Grass types), and cute widdle Pikachu evolves into awesomely adorable Raichu, my favourite Electric type of all time. That's all more than I can say for subsequent generations (except perhaps GoldSilverCrystal, though I'm sad they never had a fourth starter like the original set).
